It has been reported that occupational health and safety officials in Florida are now investigating the February 10 hyperbaric chamber explosion in Ocala which claimed the lives of 28-year-old Erica Marshall
and a six-year-old gelding.
An article on horsetalk.co.nz explains that the gelding was a thoroughbred known as 'Tux.'
At roughly 9:20 a.m. on February 10, Tux was inside a hyperbaric chamber at the Kesmarc Florida equine centre when it became agitated and started kicking. The explosion, which could be heard for miles, occurred after workers went in to turn the chamber off.
